Certification was the term traditionally used for the evaluation of the security controls of an IT system to establish the extent to which a particular design and implementation meets a set of specified security requirements. NIST has restructured the static C&A process into the Risk Management Framework. Select ONE of the six steps of the framework illustrated in the Risk Management Framework.

In at least 250 words, discuss the following in your main post.

  1. Identify the step and associated government document.
  2. Discuss the importance of the step in the overall framework.
  3. What are the consequences if the step is not included in the risk management life-cycle.

Motivational-Theories-Memory-Acquisition-A3

Write a 4-page section of a request for proposal (RPF) in which you address the topics of memory acquisition and apply motivational theory to behaviors, and create a sample lesson plan to add credibility to your proposal.

Assessment Instructions

In Assessments 1 and 2, you completed Part 1 and Part 2 of a request for proposal (RFP) from a nearby school district that is seeking individuals or groups to design a training and professional development inservice day about the brain and mind from a biopsychological perspective for their educators. For this assessment, use the Assessment 3 Proposal Template (linked in the Resources) to create Part 3 of the RPF by completing the following. Your objective is to provide information to support educators in their work with students and parents.

VII. Provide an Example From Your Own Memories

  1. Think of an example in your own life of disagreeing memories. Document your memories, and note where there are differences and why that might be the case.
  2. Explain how this exercise will be used to teach educators about memory acquisition; specifically:
    • Outline memory acquisition.
    • Create a memory mapping of the brain.
    • Explain how information is processed.

VIII. Motivational Theories

  1. Summarize these theories:
    • Drive theory.
    • Incentive theory.
    • Arousal theory.
    • Brain state theory.
  2. For each theory, identify a common behavior. Hypothesize what might have prompted the behavior from the perspective of each motivational theory.

IX. Create an Example Lesson

  1. Create an example lesson using topics from one of these areas: science, social studies, history, math, et cetera. Select a topic that you feel comfortable with, and it should be relatively easy for you to create a short lesson.
  2. Your lesson should be an example of how educators can use memory acquisition and motivational theory to teach, work with, and influence students. The purpose of your creating this lesson is to demonstrate your understanding of motivational theory, not the lesson content; in other words, if you select history as a topic, you will not be evaluated on the history content. However, keep in mind that whatever topic you select for your example lesson, you should strive to be as accurate as possible so as to lend credibility to your proposal.

Use the Capella library to research the material and support your proposal.

Additional Requirements

  2. Describe some of the proactive and reactive strategies that can be used to develop these collaborative relationships.
  3. Contrast family involvement versus family engagement and discuss how a teacher might encourage family engagement through communication. What impact does family engagement have on student success?

Response to each post:

POST 1:

This is a great discussion question! I conceptually understood the reason for switching doors after the initial explanation, but my “gut” kept saying stick with what you picked because now you have a 50/50 chance of having the right door. This is incorrect though, I still only have a 1/3 chance of having picked the correct door. The 1 out of 100 doors shows this more clearly, as the presenter stated, because 1/100 makes more since of having less of a chance than 1/3.

The trick (on the part of the game) was making people thing they had a 50/50 chance of picking the car (A) because a goat had already appeared (B) behind another door. That would only be accurate if they had opened the door revealing B and then let you pick where you though (A) was; then you would truly be making a choice out of two options. But it doesn’t work that way, you still only had a 1 in 3 chance of picking correctly (A), they showed a goat (B) behind another door, but you still only had a 1 in 3 chance of picking A, which is less than the 2 out of 3 chances it was another door.

I’ve done a horrible job of explaining it, but look at it from the games point of view, if you didn’t have less of a chance of making the correct choice initially, and then sticking with you original choice because you thought your chances went to 50/50, the show would have given out a lot more cars which wasn’t the goal of the show.

POST 2:

I learned a lot after watching the video about probabilities when you take the time to review what are the chances to get something. I also learned more about P(A)(B) is the formula to calculate the chances of me getting something based on what is dealt to me like on this cases it was doors.

It seems that switching the doors it’s the best course of action because our chances will increase. However I disagree because I think you should stick with the one you selected initially since the game host on this case goal is to make sure you don’t win and actually doubt your decision.
