Each student must develop all the parts of a WBS for ONE of the following projects:

  • Build a House
  • Plan a birthday party
  • Build a Car
  • Plan a Wedding

You must define a high level scope (a paragraph and no more, the assignment is the WBS, not the scope definition), then decompose that scope into the WBS and its dictionary.

This can be submitted in Word, Visio, PowerPoint, or Excel.

You will be graded on understanding of deliverables and work packages, descriptions, ownership, and decomposition.

The WBS will be used for other assignments later in the class, as the WBS is the backbone of every project, this one will be the backbone of your assignments, so take your time and be concise.
